Qualifications:
- At least High School
- Manlift Operator Certification/Training Certificate
- TESDA NC II in Heavy Equipment Operation
- Driver's License
The Manlift Operator ensures the safe and efficient use of aerial lifts (like Scissor Lifts and Boom Lifts) to raise workers and gear to high work areas. The core responsibility is to strictly follow all safety rules mandated by the company and the DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) to prevent accidents.
Key and Responsibilities:
- Safe Equipment Operation: Operate the manlift (scissor lift, boom lift, etc.) in a controlled, safe, and professional manner to move crew and materials to the required elevation.
- Pre-Operation Inspection: Conduct mandatory daily pre-operation checks (e.g., fluid levels, tires, controls, safety devices, structural integrity) as per the operator's manual and site safety plan (often recorded in a checklist or logbook).
- Site and Hazard Assessment: Inspect the work area for potential hazards such as uneven ground, overhead power lines, other equipment, and pedestrian traffic before and during operation.
- Maintenance and Reporting: Perform minor routine maintenance (e.g., lubrication, cleaning) and promptly report any mechanical faults, damage, or required repairs to the supervisor.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all personnel working on the platform are wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), particularly a full-body harness and lanyard, and are tied off properly, in compliance with DOLE standards for working at heights.
- Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication (visual or radio) with ground crew and personnel working on the platform.
- Post-Operation: Secure the equipment properly after use, including lowering the platform, turning off the ignition, andocking the wheels (if applicable).
