Job summary

GCash in Manila seeks a privacy, regulatory, and AI governance specialist to translate mandates into robust technical designs. You will lead PIAs, risk reviews, PET/AI development, and governance processes across data lifecycle and model management.

Responsibilities

• Technical Assessment of Regulatory and AI Requirements: translate mandates into technical requirements and robust system designs.
• PIAs & Technical Risk Reviews: lead privacy impact assessments and reviews to mitigate privacy risks.
• AI Risk Assessments: perform risk assessments for AI systems ensuring compliance with frameworks and industry standards.
• Privacy-Enhancing and AI Technology Development: design and deploy PETs and trustworthy AI solutions with privacy in mind.
• AI Solution Development: provide technical direction for ML models and automated decision engines.
• AI Governance Implementation: maintain controls for governance, risk, and compliance mapping.
• Compliance Automation & RegTech Solutions: engineer automation for monitoring, reporting, documentation and audit functions.
• Data Lifecycle and ML Model Management: ensure privacy, security across data and model lifecycles.
• Monitoring, Metrics, and Continual Improvement: create dashboards and KPIs for privacy controls.
• Policy, Standard, and Guideline Development: contribute to technical standards and policies.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Technical Enablement: advise teams on PETs and responsible AI practices.
• Incident Response and Technical Forensics: support investigations, root-cause analyses, remediation and reporting.
• Other Tasks as Required: carry out additional duties to support privacy and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Assessment of Regulatory and AI Requirements Evaluate and translate privacy, regulatory, and AI mandates (e.g., explainability, algorithmic fairness, data localization, consent management, accountability) into technical requirements and robust system designs.
• Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) & Technical Risk Reviews Lead and conduct Privacy Impact Assessments and technical reviews of new products, systems, or significant changes, ensuring identification and mitigation of privacy and compliance risks in line with global data protection requirements.
• AI Risk Assessments Perform risk assessments for AI systems to evaluate and mitigate privacy, regulatory, security, and ethical concerns associated with AI development and deployment, in compliance with recognized frameworks and industry standards.
• Privacy-Enhancing and AI Technology (PET/AI) Development & Integration Architect, develop, and deploy privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) such as pseudonymization, encryption, and differential privacy, as well as advanced and trustworthy AI solutions ensuring compliance, fairness, and security.
• AI Solution Development Provide technical direction for the engineering of AI systems (e.g., machine learning models, automated decision engines) to ensure design and operation meet principles of fairness, transparency, accountability, and privacy.
• AI Governance Implementation Develop and maintain operational processes and technical controls for AI governance, including risk assessments, monitoring, performance and impact evaluation, and compliance mapping to relevant regulatory and ethical frameworks.
• Compliance Automation & RegTech Solutions Engineer automation tools for regulatory and AI-specific compliance monitoring, reporting, documentation, versioning, and audit functions (e.g., model cards, consent records, bias detection).
• Data Lifecycle and ML Model Management Work with data engineers and ML specialists to ensure strong privacy, security, and AI controls throughout data and model lifecycles (including collection, preprocessing, training, deployment, retention, deletion).
• Monitoring, Metrics, and Continual Improvement Create monitoring systems, dashboards, and key metrics for privacy, regulatory, and AI controls; proactively identify and address areas of technical non-compliance or exposure.
• Policy, Standard, and Guideline Development Contribute to the creation and review of technical standards, guidelines, and policies addressing privacy engineering, regulatory compliance, and AI governance requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Technical Enablement Act as a technical advisor for business, legal, compliance, data science, and engineering teams, driving adoption of PETs, regulatory and engineering best practices, responsible AI, and ethical technology.
• Incident Response and Technical Forensics Support incident investigations, root-cause analyses, remediation, and reporting for privacy breaches, regulatory failings, and AI system malfunctions.
• Other Tasks as Required Carry out other responsibilities and tasks as may be assigned to support and enhance privacy, regulatory, and AI governance operations across the organization.
