Job summary

A leading fuel company in the Philippines is seeking a Manager (LPG Accounting) to oversee the accounting department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance. The role involves leading process improvements, managing the accounting team, and ensuring adherence to policies and controls. The ideal candidate is a CPA with at least 3 years of managerial experience and preferably with LPG operations background. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, operating 4 days onsite and 1 day from home.

What is this role about?

This role oversees the Accounting department for LPG related concerns; ensures the integrity in financial reporting by formulating policies and procedures; creates, maintains, and monitors a system of checks and controls that helps keep the company safe from financial fraud.

The accuracy and timeliness of the reports will support the leaders of the company in making proper decisions.

What will YOU do?

• Oversee Financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports thru thorough review of the closing processes and report generation;
• Lead Process Improvement and Efficiency to streamline accounting operations and strengthen internal controls by identifying inefficiencies, developing solutions and leading automation and digitalization initiatives;
• Manage Accounting Team to be able to manage and supervise the staff, develop team capabilities and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement via training, mentoring and coaching;
• Implement Policies and controls to ensure that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness thru resolution of deficiencies and reconciliations;
• Ensure Audit Compliance to achieve smooth internal and external audit closing through timely and accurate completion of statutory filings, tax returns, and audit requirements and coordination with internal and external auditors for smooth audit processes; and
• Perform other functions that may be assigned from time to time.

What will YOU need?

• CPA, at least 3 years experience in managerial capacity
• Preferably with experience with LPG operations
• Hybrid schedule is 4x onsite (Ortigas office) and 1x WFH
