The Glass Lewis’ Data Operations Team is essential to our organization, responsible for high‑quality collection and analysis of diverse datapoints from publicly available filings, websites, company reports and disclosures. This vital data directly supports our internal teams in producing research reports and voting policies, including custom voting policies.
Manager of Data Operations
This role is supervised and reports to the Director of Data Operations. It is a full‑time, permanent position based in our Makati office, with the opportunity for a hybrid‑remote working arrangement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience in the field of Corporate Governance, ESG, Responsible Investment or related field (7+ years preferred).
- Strong operations background, preferably in Data Operations, with people management experience.
- Understanding or technical proficiency on automation platforms, tools or large language model (AI programs) is highly desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data requirements and issues related to Corporate Governance or ESG clearly.
- Ability to work effectively across time zones and within global teams.
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver complex projects.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Willingness to work in‑office 3 days a week.
Data Governance and Quality Leadership
- Lead Data Delivery: Manage the end‑to‑end data process, partnering with data owners/stewards and stakeholders to deliver timely, high‑quality data to all clients.
- Drive Quality Improvement: Establish, track, and report on Data KPIs and metrics. Conduct regular quality reviews and audits to ensure continuous improvement across all domains.
- Quality & Risk Control: Oversee the data quality remediation process with data owners/stewards. Provide inputs, including recommending go/no‑go decisions for data ingestion based on validation results and anticipated business impact.
Operational Excellence and Process Strategy
- Process Improvement and Innovation: Continuously refine and enhance the data collection methodology, internal systems, and overall processes to support internal stakeholder needs, including the development of new products and evolving client expectations.
- Global Workflow Integration: Actively coordinate and collaborate with global colleagues across North America, Europe, and APAC to ensure process consistency, strategic alignment, and the seamless integration of the newly established Manila Data Operations team into global workflows.
Team Leadership and Management
- Team development: Drive professional growth and skills development, ensuring the team to gain full mastery and expertise of their assigned data domains followed by a strategic plan to cross‑train and upskill across other data domains supported by the team.
- Resource and Operational management: Lead local resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance review processes.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
