Job summary

Aboitiz Power in the Philippines seeks a Logistics and Customs Lead to manage end-to-end logistics operations for 1RE EPC projects. This role involves ensuring compliance, overseeing financial transactions, and leading RFQ/RFP processes while collaborating with various teams.

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree and possess at least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in supply chain management and project logistics. A strong understanding of BOC regulations and analytical skills is essential.

Job description

As Logistics and Customs Lead, you will lead the end-to-end logistics operations of 1RE EPC projects, ensuring the compliant, efficient, and cost-effective movement of materials and equipment while maintaining full accountability for customs compliance, BOC risk management, and logistics governance. You will work closely with 1RE New Builds, Project, Engineering, Facilities, and Operations teams to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Logistics Governance & Strategy: Lead the processing and renewal of Certificates of Registration (CoR), ensure full compliance with Bureau of Customs (BOC) and government regulations, and monitor regulatory shifts impacting logistics.
  • Rule of Entirety (RoE) Management: Manage RoE initiatives and compliance obligations, collaborating closely with customs brokers and consultants to address risks and implement preventive actions.
  • Commercial & Procurement Execution: Direct the end-to-end RFQ/RFP processes for logistics services, oversee the processing of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Job Orders, and lead the drafting, execution, and tracking of third-party logistics contracts.
  • Financial Accountability: Oversee financial transactions with freight forwarders, brokers, and transport providers; validate billing documents; and manage cost tracking and budget controls.
  • Data Management & Analytics: Build and maintain logistics dashboards, databases, and master data to analyze trends, address regulatory risks, and deliver insights for management decisions.
  • Policy & Workflow Development: Formulate, standardize, and routinely update Logistics Policies, Procedures, Processes, and Guidelines (2Ps) to ensure absolute alignment with legal frameworks and internal controls.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Relations: Act as the primary escalation point for logistics vendors and internal units to efficiently resolve billing inquiries, documentation bottlenecks, and operational issues.

  • Is a Strategic Communicator: Collaborates efficiently across internal teams and skillfully represents the organization before external entities like the BOC, DOE, and BIR.
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any 4-year business-related or engineering field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or related fields is preferred.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Deep knowledge of INCOTERMS and Bureau of Customs (BOC) importation processing. High exposure to project logistics is required.
Technical / Functional Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in logistics database management, dashboarding, and master data control.
  • Advanced skills in contract administration, end-to-end sourcing (RFQ/RFP), and commercial transaction validation.
  • Expert knowledge of supply risk management, procurement processes, and statutory compliance framework development.
