Qualifications

• Valid commercial driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type.

• Reliability and punctuality with deadlines.
• Physical fitness to lift and carry parcels.
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
• Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
• Ability to work independently whilst following company procedures and guidelines.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
• Experience with delivery management systems or GPS navigation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic regulations and company policies.
• Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
• Load and unload merchandise carefully to prevent damage and ensure proper organisation.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery confirmations, signatures, and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers, addressing any enquiries or concerns regarding their deliveries.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or damage immediately.
• Maintain a clean and presentable appearance and vehicle at all times.
• Meet daily and weekly delivery targets whilst maintaining high service standards.
• Handle cash or card payments where applicable, ensuring accuracy and security.
• Provide feedback on delivery efficiency and customer feedback to management.
