Job summary

Tavor Perry is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processing Specialist to support a growing mortgage broking business. You’ll take client scenarios from the initial file handover through to loan submission - researching lender options, running servicing calculations, preparing loan recommendation summaries, and managing document collection.

Ideal candidates have hands-on lending or loan processing experience, can communicate clearly in writing with clients and lenders, and take initiative to manage files

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of loan processing or mortgage brokerage support experience.
• End-to-end loan process knowledge: documents, credit, valuations, and submission.
• Experience running servicing calculations and comparing lender products.
• Ability to write loan summaries and recommendations.
• Proficient with CRM and data entry; quick to learn new platforms.
• Excellent written English for client-facing emails.
• High attention to detail with financial documents and figures.
• Proactive and self-starting; able to work independently.
• Strong, consistent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:
We’re currently interviewing for a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processing Specialist to support a growing mortgage broking business. You’ll take client scenarios from the initial file handover through to loan submission - researching lender options, running servicing calculations, preparing loan recommendation summaries, and managing document collection. We’re keen on someone with hands-on lending or loan processing experience who acts on initiative rather than waiting for instructions and communicates clearly in writing with clients and lenders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review new client files, supporting documents, and scenario summaries passed along by the broker
• Research and compare lender products to find the strongest loan options for each client’s situation
• Run servicing and serviceability calculations, including buffer assessments, across shortlisted lenders
• Write clear loan option summaries and recommendations for broker review before they’re shared with the client
• Enter data accurately and lodge loan applications in the CRM system
• Request required documents from clients by email, keeping the broker copied on all correspondence
• Follow up on outstanding documents and information so applications keep moving forward
• Support credit assessment and valuation requirements through to submission
• Keep digital client files and application records organized and current
• Contribute ideas and suggest improvements to existing processes and workflows

Mandatory Skills:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in loan processing, mortgage brokerage support, or lending operations
• Solid understanding of the loan process end to end: document collection, credit assessment, valuations, and submission
• Experience running servicing calculations and comparing lender products
• Ability to write loan summaries and recommendations
• Confident with CRM and system data entry and quick to pick up new platforms
• Excellent written English for professional client-facing email communication
• High attention to detail and accuracy with financial documents and figures
• Proactive and self-starting - able to take a file and run with it without step-by-step instructions
• Sharp, consistent, and self-reliant
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting Australian mortgage brokers or familiarity with Australian lenders and lending policy
• Background in banking, financial services, or credit
• Familiarity with broker CRM platforms and lender servicing calculators
• Experience managing several active loan files at once
• Comfortable suggesting better ways of working and improving existing workflows
