About the role

The Licensed Veterinarian is responsible for providing professional veterinary medical services to animals presented to the clinic. The position involves patient examination, diagnosis, treatment, surgery, preventive healthcare, emergency care, client communication, medical documentation, and monitoring of hospitalized patients. The Licensed Veterinarian shall perform all duties in accordance with applicable veterinary laws, professional standards, clinic policies, animal welfare regulations, and ethical standards of the veterinary profession.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct complete physical examinations of veterinary patients, obtain and evaluate patient history and clinical information, and identify signs and symptoms of illness, injury, or disease.
  • Develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans and explain medical findings, treatment options, prognosis, and recommendations to pet owners.
  • Provide preventive healthcare advice, including vaccination, parasite control, nutrition, and wellness programs.
  • Perform or request appropriate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic procedures and interpret laboratory results, radiographs, ultrasound findings, and other diagnostic information.
  • Prescribe and administer medications appropriately and perform medical procedures necessary for treatment and stabilization of patients.
  • Monitor treatment response and modify treatment plans when clinically indicated and maintain proper patient records and medical histories.
  • Provide immediate assessment and stabilization of emergency patients and perform emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Monitor hospitalized and critical patients and establish appropriate treatment and monitoring protocols.
  • Conduct regular rounds and assessments of hospitalized patients, review and update treatment plans, and monitor vital signs, food and water intake, urination, defecation, pain, behavior, and other relevant clinical parameters.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical records and ensure confidentiality and proper handling of client and patient information.
About you
  • Graduate of a recognized Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.
  • Licensed Veterinarian in the Philippines with a valid Professional Identification Card (PIC).
  • Must be in good professional standing and legally qualified to practice veterinary medicine.
  • Clinical experience is preferred but not required.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a veterinary team.
  • Willingness to work on weekends, holidays, shifting schedules, or emergency duty when required by the clinic.
