Legal Counsel – Boutique Real Estate Firm

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides legal support and advice to upper management on relevant legal issues involving the management of the firm, from risks in project inception to customer concerns and refunds.
• Ensures compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and applicable laws, including the Anti‑Money Laundering Act, Data Privacy Act, and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development regulations.
• Conducts due diligence on new projects and advises management on associated risks.
• Assesses and calculates risks in business processes and decision-making.
• Executes procedures for protecting the company’s trademarks, including registration.
• Handles litigation matters, including drafting and filing pleadings and entering appearances.
• Coordinates with and serves as primary liaison to all external counsel retained by the company.
• Monitors changes in relevant laws and contributes to enhancing the company’s legal knowledge base.
• Oversees and manages the Legal Team.
• Handles corporate housekeeping for 11 companies and 1 foundation, ensuring compliance with SEC reportorial regulations.
• Provides legal support for special projects as required by the company.
• Acts as Secretariat for the Company’s Management Committee.
