Job description

As the Lead - Inbound Operations, Mexico, you will architect and execute a seamless inbound product flow from local ports to our regional fulfillment hubs, directly unlocking supply chain agility across Latin America. Reporting to the Head of Operations, LATAM on the Americas Supply Chain team, you will establish operational synchronicity between global logistics networks, local customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers to optimize time-in-transit and capacity. In this role, your focus centers on deep functional ownership and complex project execution, prioritizing and resolving high-impact logistical bottlenecks autonomously without relying on predefined paths. This role offers an extraordinary opportunity to serve as a critical internal consultant, leveraging local market insights to implement robust inbound transportation strategies that sustain our rapid growth.

Your Mission
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Global Inbound Transportation and Customs & Trade teams, as well as the local transportation partners to ensure seamless product flow from port to Distribution Center (DC). Coordinate operational handovers with customs brokers under the governance and direction of the Customs & Trade team.
  • Drive the in-country execution of regional inbound transportation and logistics strategies while managing day-to-day operations and stakeholder communications.
  • Proactively monitor inbound transportation and delivery pipelines, identifying potential product delays and communicating risks and mitigation plans to the local business.
  • Escalate customs-related delays, risks, or decisions to the Customs & Trade team.
  • Act as the go-to internal consultant, providing critical local market insights and regulatory expertise to regional and global teams.
  • Continuously monitor local service levels, KPIs, and partner performance, swiftly escalating and resolving operational bottlenecks.
  • Own the weekly inbound forecasting process, translating volume projections into actionable data for the 3PL to optimize labor and capacity planning.
  • Partner with the Global Inbound Transportation and Customs & Trade teams in the implementation of Customs & Trade-led programs, support implementation by providing operational input and ensuring local logistics teams follow the processes, controls, broker instructions, data requirements, and documentation standards defined by Customs & Trade.
  • Support the onboarding and implementation of new transport LSP (Logistics Service Provider) partners to ensure operational alignment and seamless service integration
  • Provide operational support to Customs & Trade for the acquisition and maintenance of local trade certifications, such as AEO/OEA, including operational evidence, facility information, process implementation, and local coordination.
Your story
  • You bring 6+ years of functional experience in international logistics, inbound transportation, or customs coordination within a fast-paced retail, apparel, or consumer goods operating environment
  • You possess a proven track record of managing complex port-to-warehouse supply chain pipelines and optimizing third-party logistics providers to drive measurable operational efficiencies
  • You demonstrate deep knowledge of Mexican import processes, broker operations, and local transportation dynamics, allowing you to make wise decisions despite regulatory ambiguity
  • You excel at building collaborative relationships with diverse, cross-functional stakeholders across regional and global matrix environments to align priorities and resolve bottlenecks
  • You show an inherent drive to continuously learn and challenge existing supply chain processes, using data-driven insights to build structured financial business cases for cost-savings opportunities
  • You approach fluctuating supply chain environments with an open mind, demonstrating resourcefulness and a calm demeanor when navigating unexpected logistical disruptions
