Job summary

EPAM Systems is looking for a Lead AI Solution Engineer to boost productivity across Front-End and Back-End teams. You will analyze workflows and systematically integrate AI into development processes, tooling and pipelines to reduce friction and accelerate time-to-market.

Responsibilities include evaluating AI-assistant tools, automating lifecycle tasks and collaborating with DevOps to embed AI-driven analysis into CI/CD. Strong coaching and English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, Technical Lead or DevEx Engineer.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Next.js, APIs, databases and microservices.
• Experience with IDEs (VS Code, JetBrains) and Git/CI/CD.
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills to guide engineering culture through change.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Nice to have: LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Ollama.
• Experience in fine-tuning and RAG setups.
• Experience in engineering custom AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate and deploy state-of-the-art AI-assistant tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, specialized code LLMs and internal AI utilities to both front-end and back-end developers
• Design and automate software lifecycle processes using AI, including automated unit test generation, documentation generation, schema translations, pull-request summaries and code-review assistance
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate AI-driven analysis and automated bug detection and linting tools directly into CI/CD pipelines to catch vulnerabilities and structural flaws early
• Act as an internal consultant and evangelist to host workshops, create prompt-engineering guidelines for software developers and establish best practices for safe, ethical and effective AI usage
• Track, measure and report on developer velocity and efficiency gains resulting from AI initiatives, including changes in lead time, coding speed and team sentiment
• Guide engineering culture through change by introducing disruptive technologies and coaching teams on adoption

We are looking for a pioneering Lead AI Solution Engineer to join our engineering organization. In this role, your primary objective is to supercharge the productivity and development lifecycle of both our Front-End and Back-End engineering teams. Rather than writing product features, you will focus on analyzing engineering workflows and systematically integrating Artificial Intelligence into daily development processes, tooling and pipelines. You will act as the resident expert in AI-assisted software development, experimenting with and implementing cutting-edge generative AI models, code assistants, automated testing generators and agentic workflows, working to reduce developer friction, automate repetitive tasks and accelerate time-to-market.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, Technical Lead or DevEx Engineer with a strong passion for developer productivity and emerging AI technologies
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, TypeScript, Next.js and back-end systems such as APIs, databases and microservices
• Familiarity with modern IDE ecosystems such as VS Code, JetBrains, version control such as Git and CI/CD tools
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills with a proven ability to introduce disruptive technologies and guide engineering culture through change
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Nice to have: Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Ollama
• Experience in fine-tuning and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) setups
