Job summary

2GO Group Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Maintenance Engineer to diagnose, repair, and overhaul land-based equipment (LBE) and to train junior mechanics and technicians in best practices.

You will troubleshoot hydraulics, transmissions, engines, and associated systems; plan parts and tools; and ensure LBE is maintained in peak condition while collaborating with electricians and operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0–5 years in maintenance engineering (at least 1 year in LBE).
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical/electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hydraulics, transmissions, engines, undercarriage and troubleshoot issues.
• Work with Electricians on LBE repairs.
• Determine parts and tools needed for repairs.
• Maintain LBE in optimum condition.
• Collaborate with LBE operators and other technicians.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Learn from Technical Support Specialists.

Job description

Here’s the difference you’ll make

Your role involves diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electromechanical issues, conducting major troubleshooting, overhauling of land-based equipment, and preparing & assembling sub assembly parts of the equipment. You are to train junior mechanics and technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities.

What you’ll do

1. 1.Perform hydraulics, transmissions, engines, under carriage repair and troubleshooting
2. 2.Works with Electricians in troubleshooting and repair of LBE
3. 3.Determine parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
4. 4.Maintain LBE in its optimum condition
5. 5.Works and collaborates with LBE operators and other technicians
6. 6.Maintain a clean and safe work area
7. 7.Gain knowledge and skills from Technical Support Specialists
8. 8.Perform and assist equipment overhauling
9. 9.Recondition parts assembly for spare availability
10. 10 Assist vendors or service provider's repair or maintenance activities
11. 11.Validate vendor's assessment before they recommend parts and services needed
12. 12 Recommend and identify parts for replacement

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vocational Degree, or any related courses.

Professional Experience

• 0 – 5 years in maintenance engineering (at least 1 year in LBE)
