Job Summary

The Last Mile Group (LMG) Engineer is responsible for the planning, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of last-mile network infrastructure. This role ensures seamless connectivity for Streamtech customers through efficient installation and support of fiber optic, wireless, and other last-mile technologies.

You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers enjoy reliable and high-quality internet service.

Job Responsibilities

Deployment & Installation

• Plan and implement last-mile network infrastructure including fiber optic cables, wireless equipment, and customer premises equipment (CPE).
• Conduct site surveys and assess network readiness before deployment.
• Ensure proper installation and integration of last-mile components with the core network.

Operations & Maintenance

• Monitor and maintain the performance of last-mile connections.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, fault isolation, and corrective actions for network issues.
• Respond to network incidents and service outages, minimizing downtime and service disruption.
• Collaborate with field teams to ensure timely repairs and service restoration.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network diagrams, configuration files, and deployment records.
• Prepare technical reports detailing network incidents, maintenance activities, and performance metrics.

Coordination & Support

• Work with other engineering and planning teams on network expansion and upgrades.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field engineers and subcontractors.
• Ensure all work complies with Streamtech’s safety policies, engineering standards, and quality protocols.
