Job summary

W Bridges Manpower Corporation is seeking a fresh graduate or current student for an on-site, full-time laboratory technician role in Manila. The position involves supporting faculty and researchers by preparing materials, maintaining lab safety, and assisting in classes and experiments.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, calibration, inventory control, and record-keeping, with opportunities to grow in a laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Pharmacy, or another science-related field.
• Training or experience in laboratory procedures and laboratory management.
• Knowledge of chemical handling, laboratory safety, and equipment maintenance.
• Good record-keeping and inventory management skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue laboratory materials, chemicals, reagents, apparatus, and equipment requested by faculty members, students, and researchers.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of laboratory rooms and storage areas.
• Monitor laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning of instruments.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and basic calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on laboratory instruments and apparatus.
• Maintain inventories of chemicals, reagents, glassware, laboratory supplies, and equipment.
• Prepare and update records such as calibration reports, equipment service logs, and inventory reports.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Assist faculty and students during laboratory classes, experiments, and research activities.
