A managed services provider in the Philippines is seeking a skilled Level 2 NOC Engineer to ensure the stability and performance of IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate has over 5 years in NOC, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with multi-vendor networking environments. This role offers remote work and requires excellent communication and organizational skills, with responsibilities including monitoring alerts and managing network devices.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Level 2 NOC Engineer to join our 24/7 Network Operations team. This role is critical for ensuring the stability and performance of our customers’ IT infrastructure, particularly during off-hours and weekends. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with multi-vendor networking environments, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and communication.
Monitor and respond to alerts from networking and server infrastructure.
Interpret and troubleshoot issues such as high CPU utilization, full C drives, and other system-level concerns.
Manage and log into networking switches (Cisco, Ruckus, Extreme, Juniper, Aruba) to adjust port settings and statuses.
Monitor and manage WatchGuard firewalls, including VPN and IPSEC tunnel health.
Utilize monitoring platforms such as PRTG (customer-facing NMS), Zabbix (for select customers), and NinjaOne (for ticket creation).
Use ConnectWise for remote desktop and endpoint management.
(Occasionally) Interact with ManageEngine depending on shift and workload.
Escalate unresolved issues as needed, while maintaining ownership and follow-through.
Communicate effectively via written updates, phone calls, and ticketing systems to ensure customers are informed and reassured.
5+ years of experience in NOC
Prior experience in an MSP (Managed Service Provider) environment is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of both networking and server infrastructure with the ability to distinguish and resolve issues on either.
Hands‑on experience with network devices from Cisco, Ruckus, Extreme, Juniper, and Aruba.
Working knowledge of WatchGuard firewalls, VPNs, and tunnel monitoring.
Proficient with monitoring tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, and NinjaOne.
Familiarity with ConnectWise and remote management best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable handling customer interactions in a professional and courteous manner.
Experience in after‑hours or on‑call support roles.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time and priorities independently.
Nice to have
Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent) are a plus but not required.
Should be willing to accept a long‑term work‑from‑home arrangement.
Should be amenable to a permanent day shift schedule.
