Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and prepping ingredients for cooking.
• Cook and assemble food orders according to the restaurant's menu specifications.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary ingredients and tools.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., ovens, grills, fryers).
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing kitchen tools, utensils, and surfaces regularly.
• Support the head chef or kitchen supervisor in executing daily tasks and special orders.
• Maintain inventory control by tracking ingredients and supplies and notifying management when stocks are low.
• Handle food orders and ensure they are prepared in a timely manner for service.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate orders and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow all food safety guidelines, including proper food storage, temperature control, and handling.
• Assist in dishwashing duties, including cleaning pots, pans, and utensils as needed.
• Perform other kitchen-related tasks as assigned.
