Job summary

SMEC (An SJ Group Company) seeks a Civil Engineering professional in Metro Manila to assist with the development of civil engineering designs, drawings, calculations and technical specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality design outputs for complex projects.

The role involves supporting project coordination, ensuring adherence to standards and client requirements, preparing technical documentation, and maintaining rigorous documentation and safety compliance

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and development of civil engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Review engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams during the design development process.
• Prepare technical documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate comments from senior engineers and the Client.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support project execution.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Prepare meeting minutes, action registers, progress reports, and project correspondence.
• Track project issues, risks, and outstanding actions and support their resolution.
• Maintain proper project documentation and records management systems.

Civil Engineering Design

• Assist in the preparation of technical documentation.

• Coordinate with internal teams members (all discipline) to support project execution.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Prepare meeting minutes, action registers, progress reports, and project correspondence.
• Track project issues, risks, and outstanding actions and support their resolution.
• Maintain proper project documentation and records management systems.

Quality, Safety, and Compliance

• Ensure engineering and project activities comply with company procedures, contractual requirements, and industry standards.
• Support quality assurance and quality control reviews of project deliverables.
• Assist in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation measures.
• Promote compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
