Job summary

Paynamics Technologies Inc. is seeking a Junior Cloud Security Engineer to join our hybrid team in Makati City. You will help secure multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), monitor for threats, and support security tooling deployments with a focus on RBAC, encryption, and incident response.

The ideal candidate has a computer science or IT background and at least 3 years in cloud security or operations, with strong analytical skills and a will to learn in a fast-paced fintech setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• At least 3 years experience in cloud infrastructure or security operations.
• Familiarity with cloud-native security tools and best practices.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to continuously learn and grow in cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve security across AWS/Azure/GCP cloud environments
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for threats, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities
• Assist in deploying and managing security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and monitoring systems
• Help implement secure access controls, role-based permissions (RBAC), and encryption standards
• Respond to alerts and security events, helping mitigate risks quickly
• Maintain incident response documentation and cloud security diagrams
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and security teams to align security strategies
• Recommend improvements to strengthen the organizations cloud security
