Job summary

Expleo Group is seeking a Junior Software Tester to join our banking technology team in Makati. You will perform manual testing to ensure applications meet functional, quality, and business requirements, gaining experience in a banking/financial services environment.

You will participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, review requirements, and document defects while building strong QA fundamentals for your career in software quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of software testing experience.
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Knowledge of manual testing methodologies and defect life cycle.
• Ability to create and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Basic understanding of SQL/databases is a plus.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or other defect/test management tools.
• Experience or exposure to Agile/Scrum is preferred.
• Banking or financial services experience is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing as required.
• Review requirements and user stories to identify test scenarios and potential issues.
• Prepare and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
• Document, track, and report defects using defect management tools.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA team members to resolve issues.
• Perform retesting and regression testing after defects are fixed.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint testing activities.
• Validate that applications meet functionality, usability, and quality standards.
• Assist with test execution and documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support production validation and other testing activities when required.
