Job summary

Avaloq, a Swiss-founded wealth-management technology leader, is seeking software engineers in the Treasury team to advance product features for a global client base. The role emphasizes agile delivery, close collaboration with Product Owner and analysts, and ownership of key technical areas.

You'll design, implement, and maintain robust solutions, contribute to automated testing, and support customers across regions with a strong focus on quality and architectural integrity.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Several years continuous relevant software development experience.
• In-depth knowledge of software engineering.
• Good knowledge of database technologies (SQL, Oracle PL/SQL).
• English is a must as the official common language across regions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Team Lead, Product Owner, and other developers.
• Write solution designs and have them reviewed by leads and architects.
• Participate in client workshops and assist in requirements analysis.
• Design, develop and maintain solutions within the team’s scope.
• Improve and optimize existing functionalities.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and ensure quality.
• Take ownership for your area of expertise and work with Jira.

Job Description

The Treasury team is a dynamic team of Software Engineers and Business Analysts spread across several development centers. We follow an agile process, working closely with the Product Owner and related teams to develop product features and provide support to our extensive global customer base.

We work with customers and partners to develop and deliver innovative solutions to meet market demands. The team is part of many exciting and challenging projects relating to cutting-edge Swiss, European and Asian banking initiatives. We are the experts in Avaloq for the Treasury business.

Your key tasks:

• Closely collaborate with the Team Lead, Product Owner, Business Analysts and other Software Engineers
• Write solution designs for new developments and have them reviewed with our technical leads and architects
• Participate in client workshops and support our business analysts in requirements analysis
• Design, develop and maintain thought-out solutions within the team’s responsibility
• Improve and optimize existing functionalities
• Develop and maintain automated tests, quality insurance
• Take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise
• To work with agile mindset, process and ticketing platforms (Jira)

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related discipline (preferable)
• Several years continuous relevant software development experience
• In-depthknowledge in software engineering
• Good knowledge and sound understanding of database technologies (SQL, Oracle PL/SQL)
• Python, C++ or similar can be valuable.
• Eager to learn and understand the business needs aiming to provide clean designs and high-quality code
• Strong conceptual and analytical mind with a structured and autonomous approach to work on complex technical and business problems
• English (is a must due to this is the official common language across regions worldwide)

It would be a real bonus if you have:

• Experience in the financial industry and/or treasury topics
• Experience with Avaloq or other Treasury IT vendors (Comyno, Kondor +, …)
• Knowledge in domain specific standards like FIX protocol, SWIFT MT or MX (ISO20022)
