The role emphasizes learning actuarial skills and understanding multiple insurance lines. The ideal candidate will have SQL, Excel, and possibly Python, plus strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with underwriters and business partners.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL, Excel/Word/PowerPoint; Python preferred.
• Strong communication including presentations and marketing.
• Leadership to lead discussion with cross-functional team.
• Able to collaborate with cross-functional business partners
• High productivity and organizational skills; deliver quality work efficiently.
• Interest in actuarial science and insurance; no experience required.
• Aptitude to complete actuarial exams and pursue property & casualty credentials.

Responsibilities

• Profitability reviews and new submission analyses for P&C programs.
• Monitor portfolio rate changes, pricing adequacy, and underwriting mix.
• Conduct actuarial studies to improve pricing parameters.
• Design, build, and maintain pricing and monitoring tools.
• Support new products and revise rating plans with underwriters.
