Job summary

Terranova Clothing Brand in Taguig, Metro Manila, is seeking an accounting professional to support financial data management, reporting, and daily accounting operations for a retail business.

The role requires a BS in Accountancy or related field, with 1 year of retail experience preferred, and strong Excel and QuickBooks skills. You will prepare financial statements, manage journal entries, and assist with payroll and tax-related tasks to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• BS Accountancy or equivalent degree.
• 1 year of retail accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications; QuickBooks knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Audit and assist with reviewing expenses and payroll records as assigned.

About the role

This is an accounting position supporting a Retail Company with financial data management, reporting, and accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Prepare and maintain financial statements for Retail Company
• Coordinate daily accounting activities, create journal entries, prepare tax returns, develop financial statements, report financial status, and handle accounts payable and receivable
• Assist with other accounting tasks

About you

• Graduate of BS Accountancy, BS Accounting Management or Accounting Technology
• Preferably at least 1 year experience working in a Retail industry
• Knowledgeable of basic/standard accounting principle and practices
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Good in oral and verbal communication
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office application is required
• Preferably knowledgeable in Quick book
• Excellent organizing abilities
