The Store Accountant is responsible for managing and monitoring the financial transactions of the store. This includes recording sales, expenses, inventory costs, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The role ensures that all store-related financial activities are properly documented and compliant with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily store transactions including sales, purchases, and expenses.
- Monitor and reconcile store cash collections and bank deposits
- Maintain accurate records of inventory costs and stock movements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for store operations.
- Verify and process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Coordinate with the store manager regarding inventory and financial discrepancies.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control for store operations.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits when required.
- Monitor petty cash and store-related expenditures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in accounting, preferably in food/restaurant industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
