Job summary

Kooapps Inc. is offering a 6-month, paid intensive training program to begin your career as a software engineer.

You will focus on building and maintaining robust backend APIs, ensuring server stability and performance, and developing internal tools to support multiple teams. Collaboration with Game Design, Art, QA, PM, and Data teams will be key to shipping games with backend support, with occasional website work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical & Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL/NoSQL, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with C#, C/C++, Javascript/Typescript.
• Willingness to work in Makati and Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust backend APIs that interact efficiently with databases.
• Ensure stability and performance of server infrastructure.
• Develop internal tools to support team operations.
• Deliver high-quality, well-structured code following engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL/NoSQL, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with C#, C/C++, Javascript/Typescript.
• Basic knowledge or understanding of full-stack development, with a primary focus on back-end technologies.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Passion for software development and gaming.
• Self-motivator with strong problem-solving skills.
• Can communicate and work effectively in English.
• Willingness to work in Makati. (Staff House provided)
• Willingness to work Monday to Saturday.
• Both entry-level (new graduates or career changers) and experienced applicants are welcome. No prior mobile game development experience is required. Familiarity with Unity3D, iOS / Android Development, and App Development is a plus.
