Job Overview
The company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Security Consultant to join their penetration testingteam. The successful candidate will assist in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities in client systems through various testing methodologies. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, networks, and systems to identify vulnerabilities and assess risk
Develop and execute test plans and scenarios to simulate various types of attacks
Use a variety of tools and techniques to perform manual and automated testing
Analyze and document findings, including detailed reports on vulnerabilities and recommendations for remediation
Collaborate with development and IT teams to address and resolve security issues
Stay updated with the latest security trends, tools, and techniques
Provide guidance and support for implementing security best practices and improvements
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity , or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or ethical hacking
Proficiency with common penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, etc.
Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, OSCP) are a plus but not required
