Connext is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to support planning, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis across finance and cross-functional teams. You will build financial insights through forecasting support, variance analysis, dashboards, and modeling, translating complex data into clear guidance for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Finance, FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, financial modeling, and data analysis techniques.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and present financial insights.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst is responsible in supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis activities by partnering with finance leadership and cross-functional teams. The role develops financial insights through forecasting support, variance analysis, reporting dashboards, and financial modeling while helping stakeholders understand key business drivers related to revenue, cash flow, gross margin, and operational performance.

Job Description:

• Develop a strong understanding of financial and operating metrics, including revenue, cash flow, gross margin, and retention drivers, to support business decision-making.
• Represent Finance in recurring meetings with business teams by providing financial insights, identifying risks, and escalating issues when necessary.
• Support the maintenance and refinement of forecasting and cash models through data gathering, variance analysis, and discrepancy identification.
• Own recurring financial reporting processes and dashboards by coordinating with Data Science and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting inputs.
• Prepare financial analysis related to gross margin, cost of goods sold (COGS) variances, and price/volume/mix impacts for leadership review.
• Support annual budgeting processes by coordinating departmental inputs, consolidating submissions, and preparing supporting schedules.
• Assist with monthly reforecast cycles by updating models with actual results, analyzing variances, and preparing explanations for financial movements.
• Support budget versus actual and forecast versus actual reviews with department leaders by analyzing performance trends and summarizing key insights.
• Assist in preparing board and investor reporting materials under Finance leadership guidance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Marketing, Technology, and Retail to gather financial information and provide actionable insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, financial models, and data accuracy.
• Translate complex financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities.
• Experience with financial modeling and analyzing complex financial datasets.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and presenting financial insights.
• Demonstrates strong financial planning and modeling skills.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to synthesize complex financial data, identify trends, and communicate insights clearly.
• Proven ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Self-starter who can adapt quickly in an evolving business environment.
• Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.
