Job summary

Mechanicaldesigndirectory is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Specialist to create detailed 2-D and 3-D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. You will prepare technical documentation and support our trailer product line with customizations and maintenance manuals.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of experience with AutoCAD and three years with SolidWorks, along with strong communication skills in English. Responsibilities include producing drawings, revising plans, and assisting in documentation preparation.

• Proven experience with technical document creation.

Mechanical Design Specialist

Ammex I‑Support seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Specialist to create detailed 2‑D and 3‑D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, prepare technical documentation, and support our trailer product line with customizations and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2‑D general arrangement layouts of trailers in AutoCAD for sales assistance.
• Draft 2‑D drawings of 3‑D SolidWorks models created by engineers.
• Revise drawings according to engineer and draftsman mark‑ups.
• Dimension and detail drawings to ISO standards, including tolerances and welding details.
• Draft electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
• Manipulate 3‑D models for standard product ranges, incorporating minor customizations requested by customers.
• Assist the technical documents officer in preparing operating and maintenance manuals, safe operating procedures, work procedures and risk assessments.
• Collect relevant technical information from component suppliers and include it in the manuals.
• Interpret and apply relevant standards in the documentation process.
• Catalogue and tag photos of equipment and components.

Required Skills

• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Experience drafting mechanical structures to ISO drawing standards, including dimensioning, tolerancing, and welding symbols.
• Minimum two years of full‑time AutoCAD experience.
• Minimum three years of full‑time SolidWorks experience focusing on drafting.
• Technical qualification in a mechanical engineering field.
• SolidWorks Certified Professional (SWCP) certification is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical standards.
• Proven experience with technical document creation.
• High‑level skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Medium‑level skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Windows Live Photo Gallery, and Windows Live Movie Maker.
