Job summary

Advanced World Systems Inc. is seeking a software development professional in the Philippines to design, develop, and test web applications. The candidate will work under general supervision and may lead project tasks and scheduling.

Requirements include a 4- or 5-year software development degree, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills. Knowledge of Java, HTML5, JQuery, and SQL is essential; JLPT N5 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4- or 5-year software development-related degree.
• At least 3 years experience in designing, creating and testing web applications using HTML, Java (JSF, JDBC, JAX-RS, JMX for batch app), Spring or Struts, WAS, DB2, Jenkins.
• Experience in web applications (Java, HTML5, PHP, JQuery) is an advantage.
• Experience in SQL, creating tests with JUnit, and using Eclipse IDE is an advantage.
• Nihongo certification (JLPT N5) is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of advanced programming.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• May be assigned as Project Leader or Sub-Leader and handles schedules/workload estimation (task and project level).
• Performs basic engineering functions.
• Ensures activities conform to integrated management system requirements.
• Performs other activities as needed if qualified.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Works under general supervision; this position is tasked with the following for its assigned project:- May be assigned as a Project Leader or Sub-Leader- Does schedules for its members and workload estimation (Task level and Project level)

2. Performs basic engineering functions
3. Ensures that activities conform to integrated management system requirements
4. Performs other activities which may be required as need arises provided he is qualified for these activities

Education / Experience / Skill / Training Required

• Graduate of any 4 or 5-year course related to software development (e.g. Compute Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering)
• With at least 3 years experience in design, create and test Web application using HTML, Java (JSF, JDBC, JAX,-RS, JMX : for batch application, JUnit), use of spring or struts framework, Websphere (WAS), DB2, Jenkins
• Experience in developing applications for the web (Java, HTML5, PHP, JQuery) is an advantage
• Experience in SQL, Test creation using JUnit, and using Eclipse IDE is an advantage
• Nihongo certification (at least JLPT N5 level) is an advantage
• Working knowledge of advanced programming
• Excellent communications skills
