Job summary

ConnectOS is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our Manila-based team at Mega Tower, Mandaluyong. This hybrid role requires you to start immediately and follow a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PHT with on-call duties.

You will manage enterprise virtualization (Hyper-V and VMware), Azure and M365 environments, and storage platforms, ensuring high availability, security controls, and smooth operations for our data centers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in ICT infrastructure delivery.
• Experience maintaining Azure, Hyper-V and vSphere.
• Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 certifications.
• Hands-on Dell storage or Pure Storage experience.
• PowerShell scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of virtualization systems (vSphere, Hyper-V).
• Configure and support enterprise shared systems (storage, backups, monitoring, identity, messaging).
• Deploy and manage M365 apps and the Azure environment.
• Design, deploy and maintain IT infrastructure for data centres.
• Create and maintain IT infrastructure documentation, policies and DR plan.
• Report on IT infrastructure operations for optimization.
• Provide internal expertise to service desk on Systems Engineering issues.
• Collaborate across IT teams for end-to-end change coverage.

What are we looking for?

Skills Required

• Demonstrated 5+ years of experience delivering ICT infrastructure and technology solutions
• Experience with maintaining Azure, Hyper-V and vSphere environments
• Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Certifications
• Hands-on experience in DELL or Pure Storage
• PowerShell scripting

Virtualization (Hyper-V & VMware)

• Strong hands-on experience with Hyper-V and VMware in on-premises enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing and deploying virtualization infrastructure from bare metal through to production.
• Experience installing and configuring hypervisor hosts, clusters, storage, networking, high availability, and failover solutions.
• Hands-on expertise performing firmware, hypervisor, and guest operating system upgrades.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtual machine performance, resource contention, storage, networking, and host-level outages.
• Experience planning and executing infrastructure migrations, including:
  • Physical-to-Virtual (P2V) migrations
  • Host refresh and replacement projects
  • Storage migrations and upgrades
  • VM migration and consolidation activities

Microsoft Azure Infrastructure

• Demonstrated experience building Azure environments from the ground up, rather than solely supporting existing environments.
• Strong understanding of Azure architecture
• Hands-on experience designing and managing Azure networking, including:
  • Virtual Networks (VNets)
  • VNet Peering
  • Site-to-Site VPNs
  • ExpressRoute Connectivity
• Experience integrating Azure services with enterprise identity platforms and implementing security controls.
• Proven experience deploying and managing Azure IaaS services, including:
  • Virtual Machines
  • Storage Solutions
  • Backup Services
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) Solutions
• Practical experience managing cloud costs, availability, capacity, and operational risk.
• Experience deploying and managing Azure workloads through:
  • Azure Portal
  • ARM Templates
  • Bicep
  • Terraform

Nice To Have

• Experience working in enterprise or managed services environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments combining on-premises virtualization platforms and Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, business continuity, and disaster recovery best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

What will you do?

• Maintaining and ensuring high availability of enterprise-wide virtualization systems e.g. vSphere, Hyper-V
• Administering, configuring, and supporting of enterprise shared business systems including storage, backups, monitoring, identity management, messaging, etc.
• Deployment, managing and maintaining M365 applications and the Azure environment ensuring adherence to license management
• Effectively design, deploy and maintain infrastructure for our Data Centres.
• Build and keep current, relevant IT infrastructure system documentation, policies and procedures including Disaster Recovery Plan
• Reporting on IT infrastructure operations to allow fine-tuning and optimising of the IT Infrastructure
• Provide internal expertise to the business queries and helpdesk tickets of Systems Engineering related issues, systems, processes and data. Analyse the tickets/incidents raised to identify key themes to educate the
• Service Desk (training or providing documentation) in the respective assigned functional area(s) to increase the number of issues resolved at Service Desk
• Ensure all proposed changes/fixes proposed and implemented by the external support service provider and/or other internal teams are aligned to our IT principles and are sustainable/supportable
• Collaborate with the other IT teams to ensure end-to-end support coverage across all changes, break/fixes and continuous improvement initiative
