Job summary

Wings Global Service Center Corp in Metro Manila, Philippines seeks a cybersecurity professional to join our security operations team. You will analyse incidents, perform vulnerability assessments, and validate suppliers and software against our security framework.

The role includes providing ad hoc internal technical support, maintaining security tools, and ensuring compliance with governance standards. Strong collaboration, documentation, and incident response skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or relevant certifications.
• TESDA Certificate of Completion in Setting Up Computer Networks.
• TESDA Certificate of Completion in Maintaining Computer Systems and Networks.
• Bitdefender Consumer Solutions Training or equivalent endpoint-security training.
• Fortinet NSE Level 1 – Certified Associate.
• Fortinet NSE Level 2 – Certified Associate.
• Additional certifications in cybersecurity or related fields are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyse security incidents and vulnerabilities.

Job description

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Incident and vulnerability analysis
  • Ensure all suppliers and software have been validated against the Wings Security Framework
  • Monitor security events and alerts.
  • Analyse security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents.
  • Maintain security tools and technologies.
• Ad hoc internal technical support
  • Use internal call logging infrastructure to resolve all allocated support queries within agreed service level agreements.
  • When required, provide after-hours first line technical support to all staff members.
  • Fully investigate all support calls before escalating to second- or third-line support, as directed in accordance to the escalation matrix.
  • Assist with all technical queries and provide guidance to users as relevant, either in person or remotely.
  • Ensure all work done is captured in the logging / ticketing system, closing calls as needed.
  • Monitor and report any system alerts to line management.
  • Meet with team weekly to discuss problems and progress reports.
• Administration
  • Ensure development knowledge management system is always updated with required solutions and documentation.
  • Deploy and Maintain the levels of ISO and applicable governance, compliance standard in line with company expectations
  • Maintain computer related equipment registers.
  • Ensure that all naming conventions are maintained.
• General
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal processes and policies, including adherence with the Authority Matrix and MAPs guidelines.
  • Attend all required meetings.
  • Assist with any ad hoc tasks and projects given by Technology management team.
  • Attend all assigned training, even if scheduled outside of normal working hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or relevant technical certifications and demonstrated experience.
• TESDA Certificate of Completion in Setting Up Computer Networks.
• TESDA Certificate of Completion in Maintaining Computer Systems and Networks.
• Bitdefender Consumer Solutions Technical Training or equivalent endpoint-security training.
• Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) Level 1 – Certified Associate.
• Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) Level 2 – Certified Associate.
• Additional certifications in cybersecurity, network security, system administration, or related fields are an advantage.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in:
  • Cybersecurity or network security;
  • Security and network troubleshooting;
  • Security monitoring and incident detection;
  • Endpoint or network security administration; and/or
  • IT infrastructure support.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

Candidates should have working knowledge of one or more of the following:

• Wazuh – security monitoring, SIEM/XDR, log analysis, and threat detection.
• Bitdefender – endpoint protection and security management.
• MISP – threat intelligence and indicator management.
• Microsoft Defender – endpoint security, threat detection, and incident response.
• n8n – workflow automation and security-related process automation.
• Other SIEM, EDR/XDR, threat-intelligence, network-security, or security-monitoring platforms.

Additional Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to investigate security alerts and determine potential threats.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, and network security.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as malware, phishing, vulnerabilities, indicators of compromise (IOCs), threat intelligence, and incident response.
• Ability to document technical findings and communicate security issues clearly.
• Willingness to learn and work with new cybersecurity tools and technologies.
