MediCard Phils., Inc. is seeking a seasoned Data Architect to define, design, and govern the enterprise data architecture.
You will ensure scalable, secure, and integrated data solutions that align with business strategy and analytics initiatives. You will collaborate with data engineers, solution architects, and governance teams to translate requirements into robust architectures, while ensuring data quality, interoperability, and long-term sustainability of MediCard’s data ecosystem.

A Data Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and governing the enterprise data architecture to ensure scalable, secure, and well‑integrated data solutions that support business strategy and analytics initiatives. The role establishes data models, architectural standards, and integration patterns across platforms, ensuring consistency, performance, and alignment with cloud and data governance principles. The Data Architect works closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, solution architects, and governance teams to translate business requirements into robust data architectures while ensuring data quality, interoperability, security, and long‑term sustainability of the organization’s data ecosystem.
Data Architecture Strategy & Design:
Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture vision, roadmap, and standards aligned with business strategy and technology direction.
Design end‑to‑end data architectures covering data ingestion, storage, processing, integration, and consumption.
Ensure architectural decisions support scalability, performance, resilience, and future growth.
Data Modeling & Design Standards:
Develop and govern conceptual, logical, and physical data models across enterprise domains.
Establish data modeling standards and best practices for transactional, analytical, and reporting use cases.
Ensure consistency of data definitions, relationships, and structures across systems and platforms.
Cloud & Platform Architecture:
Architect cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., Azure data services) following best practices for security, availability, and cost optimization.
Define reference architectures for data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouses, and real‑time data solutions.
Guide the selection and usage of data technologies, tools, and platforms.
Integration & Data Flow Architecture:
Design data integration patterns for batch, streaming, and API‑based data movement.
Ensure seamless and reliable data flows across source systems, platforms, and downstream consumers.
Support enterprise integration standards and data interoperability.
Data Governance & Quality Alignment:
Partner with Data Governance, Security, and Compliance teams to embed governance, privacy, and security requirements into data architectures.
Ensure data architecture supports data quality, lineage, metadata management, and auditability.
Enforce architectural guardrails and design principles aligned with governance policies.
Security, Privacy & Risk Management:
Design secure data architectures incorporating data classification, access controls, encryption, and network protections.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
At least 5 years’ or more previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python)
Advanced Hands‑on experience with SQL database design and Databricks
Advanced experience in using Azure Cloud Databases & Technologies
Great numerical and analytical skills
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master’s is a plus
Data engineering certification (e.g Azure Certified Data Engineer) is a plus
Experience/Knowledge in using Salesforce, Sap, Oracle, Genesys is a plus
Ability to perform analysis, formulated conclusions and recommend actions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English required.
Ability to communicate and work with cross-functional teams and cross‑country stakeholders is a must.
Strong organizational skills
Experience with project management is a plus
Highly motivated and eager to learn new applications and/or tools
Displays a positive and team first attitude
