Job summary

KPMG Philippines is seeking an IT Audit Assistant Manager to lead external IT audit engagements and attestations across sectors. You will coach engagement teams, apply strong risk controls, and help prepare concise reports for IT management and CIOs.

The role emphasizes coaching, technical leadership, and delivering high‑quality IT assurance outputs while collaborating across disciplines and client environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in external/internal IT audit or risk roles.
• US-SOX accreditation is desirable.
• Strong technology risk and controls knowledge.
• Proven ability to coach and develop team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.

Our IT Auditing team is made up of audit focused people who are all pivotal to the successful delivery of our IT External/Internal Audit engagements. We are dedicated to support the evaluation of our audit clients IT control environment. Tech Assurance is a growing business that focuses on helping our clients understand, manage, and oversee their risks, including conduct and regulatory change.

As an Assistant Manager in the IT Audit team, you will play a key role in:

• Delivering IT external audits and IT attestation engagements across a variety of industries
• Providing job coaching, technical knowledge, direction and training to engagement team members.
• Supporting engagement managers in the overall project management of engagements as well as the preparation of clear and concise reports to IT management and CIO's.

What You Need To Have:

• Background in external/internal audit and/or risk (ideally with a professional services firm) with a minimum of 5 years of experience. US-SOX accreditation is desirable.
• Have gained strong technology risk and controls knowledge.
• Passion towards delivering quality IT Audits.
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of clients and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and share expertise with team members to strengthen capability.
• A tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g. Accounting, Information Systems, Commerce or other), CA or CISA equivalent or ability to obtain a CA or CISA.
