Job summary

Lepanto Consolidated Mining Co. is seeking an audit professional to assist in developing the internal audit plan and to conduct risk-based reviews across financial, operational, and compliance areas at our Mankayan site in Benguet.

The role emphasizes identifying improvements in operations, controls, governance, and risk management. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Engineering and is CPA/CIA or a licensed engineer, with at least one year of audit experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of audit experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 or environmental management system audit experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Engineering is required; professional certifications are advantageous.

• Assist in the development of the internal audit plan.
• Conduct risk-based audits of financial, operational, and compliance areas and assess related risks.
• Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to improve operations, internal controls, governance, and risk management.
• Communicate audit findings by preparing Non-compliance Reports (NCR) for auditees.

Job description

• Assist in the development of the internal audit plan.
• Conduct a risk-based audit approach in executing financial, operational, and compliance reviews and assess the company’s operations, processes, financial, compliance, and other associated risks (e.g. environmental, occupational health and safety, etc).
• Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to improve business operations, internal control, governance, and risk management processes.
• Communicate audit findings by preparing the Non-compliance Report (NCR) for issuance to auditees/process owners.
• Ensure that previous audit findings and agreed preventive/corrective actions are monitored and followed up.
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or any Engineering program
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Licensed Engineer
• Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 or environmental management system audit experience is desired
• Minimum of 1-year Audit experience
• Willing to be assigned in Mankayan, Benguet
