Job summary

Dominion Chemicals Corporation is seeking an Internal Audit Specialist to strengthen internal controls across food manufacturing operations. The role evaluates processes, ensures policy adherence, and supports safety and quality systems.

You will conduct audits across production, warehouse, procurement, and distribution, review GMP/HACCP/ISO 22000 compliance, report findings, and collaborate with department heads to implement corrective actions, ensuring product safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, internal audit, food technology, industrial engineering, business administration, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and report writing.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits of manufacturing operations, including production, warehouse, procurement, and distribution.
  • Review compliance with food safety and quality standards such as GMP, HACCP, and ISO 22000.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and operational procedures.
  • Audit inventory management, raw material handling, and finished goods processes.
  • Identify potential risks in manufacturing processes across operational, financial, and compliance areas.
  • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with department heads to implement audit recommendations and corrective measures.
  • Conduct follow-up audits to verify corrective actions taken.
  • Review production records, quality control documentation, and compliance reports.
  • Support the company in maintaining compliance with local regulations and internal standards.

Job description

The Internal Audit Specialist is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, operational processes, and compliance within the food manufacturing operations. The role ensures adherence to company policies, food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems while identifying risks and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and product safety.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct internal audits of manufacturing operations, including production, warehouse, procurement, and distribution processes.

Review compliance with food safety and quality standards such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.

Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and operational procedures.

Audit inventory management, raw material handling, and finished goods processes to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.

Identify potential operational, financial, and compliance risks in manufacturing processes.

Prepare audit reports detailing findings, risk assessments, and recommended corrective actions.

Coordinate with department heads to ensure implementation of audit recommendations and corrective measures.

Conduct follow-up audits to verify that corrective actions have been properly implemented.

Review production records, quality control documentation, and compliance reports.

Support the company in maintaining compliance with local food regulations and internal quality standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Internal Audit, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

At least 2-3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG industry.

Knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000) is an advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).

Good communication and report writing skills.

High level of integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
