Role Purpose

Wealth Insurance Sales provides an opportunity for HIIB to sell insurance and financial products to the HSBC Premier client base. The unique proposition and growth of HSBC Premier in the Philippines offers an opportunity for HIIB to market insurance and financial products.

Role Context

The unique proposition and growth of HSBC Premier in the Philippines offers an opportunity for HIIB to market insurance and financial products. All Wealth Management Hubs of HSBC will be tasked with meeting minimum insurance targets which includes Insurance ANP, Revenue and Protection / Health Insurance.

HSBC, through HIIB, has an ambition to grow its Wealth Management business in a highly competitive environment where BDO is perceived to be one of the market leaders. Other major banks like Metrobank and BPI are channeling additional resources to increase their level of penetration through their Bancassurance Partnerships.

Principal Accountabilities

Impact on the Business

• Lead and manage sales performance of the designated HSBC Wealth Relationship Managers to achieve channel revenue targets
• Achieve or exceed individual business objectives of assigned Wealth Relationship Managers

Customers / Stakeholders

• Maintain effective business relationship and communication with HSBC Branches, Relationship Managers and Branch Sales Staff to achieve performance metrics and bottom line results.
• Provide feedback on business results and requirements to Investment Team Heads, Retail Branch Heads and Wealth Insurance Sales Head

Leadership & Teamwork

• Manage and monitor insurance referral activity of assigned area/ group.
• Responsible for coaching and training the sales staff in assigned group including conducting product and skills workshops to enhance successful referrals productivity and quality, and impart best practices. Go on joint sales calls with front line sales staff and close the business to generate revenue for HSBC Investment and Insurance Brokerage Philippines.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

• Implement controls and procedures to ensure smooth management and administration of insurance initiatives

Qualifications

• Good customer orientation with inclination towards service and client satisfaction
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• At least 5 years of insurance experience working in a life insurance company
