Job summary

Autocontrol Process Instrumentation Philippines Corporation is seeking a Design Engineer to design, develop and improve instrumentation products and related mechanical components. You will create detailed 2D drawings, build 3D models, and ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-efficient.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in mechanical design or product design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or Fusion 360.
• Experience designing sheet metal parts, machined components, plastic enclosures, and mechanical assemblies.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC, sheet metal, die casting, and injection molding.
• Familiar with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, enclosures, assemblies, and accessories for instrumentation products.
• Create detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop 3D models and assemblies using 3D CAD software.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs, exploded views, and assembly instructions.
• Modify existing designs based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Electronics, R&D, Production, and Purchasing teams for manufacturability.
• Assist in prototype development, testing, and product validation.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and quality requirements.
• Support documentation for product certification and technical files.
• Continuously improve designs for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
