About the role

As an Inpatient Medical Coder at access healthcare, you will play a vital role in accurately coding and classifying medical records and procedures to ensure proper billing and reimbursement for our healthcare clients. This full‑time position is based in Pasay City, Metro Manila, and requires strong medical coding expertise and attention to detail.

What you’ll be doing

1. Review and analyse patient medical records, including discharge summaries, operative reports, and physician notes, to identify the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes
2. Code medical records according to the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) guidelines
3. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any ambiguities or discrepancies in the medical documentation
4. Ensure coded data is accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards and regulations
5. Participate in regular audits and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of coding
6. Stay up-to-date with changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices

What we’re looking for

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a medical coder, preferably in an inpatient setting
2. Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification
3. Thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
4. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to accurately interpret medical documentation
