Job summary

Magna Powertrain in the Philippines seeks a senior engineering professional to lead the development of new client products and support from concept through to launch. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and validate automotive components, ensuring performance, cost, and manufacturability targets are met.

Ideal candidates bring a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, strong CAD/CAE experience (NX/CATIA), and fluent English with preference for German language

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
• Proficient in CAD/CAE tools and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for new product development for clients.
• Support evaluation of new product concepts and portfolio concepts.
• Develop concepts/designs per client applications and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Deliver creative solutions for automotive applications and manage project launches.

Job Responsibilities:

Objetivo de la Posición:

Soporta las actividades relacionadas a Ingeniería del producto. Estas actividades incluyen, pero no están limitadas a soporte al cliente, soporte a planta y grupos funcionales en proyectos de reducción de scrap, garantías, problemas de OEE, evaluación de ideas de reducción de costo, soporte a compras en cambio y desarrollo de proveedores, comunicación de partes, implementación de proyectos de ahorro de costo e incremento de valor.

Esta posición es responsable de proveer liderazgo técnico para el desarrollo de nuevos productos para el cliente, así como también de soportar la evaluación de nuevos conceptos del portafolio de producto. Responsable del desarrollo de conceptos / diseño de acuerdo con las aplicaciones específicas de cliente. Trabaja estrechamente con otros departamentos y el grupo de ingeniería multifuncional. Debe demostrar habilidad pare entregar soluciones creativas para las aplicaciones automotrices.

Requisitos** :**

• Inglés avanzado, alemán deseable.
• Mínimo 7 años de experiencia laboral en puestos similares.

Escolaridad:

Título y cédula profesional en Ingeniería, preferentemente Ingeniería Mecánica o Mecatrónica.

Conocimientos** :**

Interpretación de planos, Paquetes de Diseño en 3D, Tolerancias Geométricas, Diseño de Elementos Mecánicos, Análisis de Tolerancias, Planes de Validación, Propiedades de Materiales, Procesos de Manufactura, Core Tools de AIAG, Conocimiento de VA/VE, Conocimiento en solución de problemas, análisis de requerimientos de cliente, análisis de factibilidad técnica.

Experiencia** :**

• Habilidad analítica, habilidad para planeación, entendimiento de conceptos de ingeniería y principios de diseño.
• Conocimientos de software computacional, habilidad organizacional y de comunicación, habilidad para trabajar con otros en un ambiente de equipo.
• Habilidades de comunicación oral y escrita en inglés y español. Alemán es considerado un extra.
• Entendimiento de herramientas de CAD/CAE. Preferentemente NX y/o CATIA.
• Experiencia tratando con clientes externos.
• Conocimiento para la elaboración de planes de validación
• Desarrollo de conceptos para nuevos productos.
• Entendimiento de modelos financieros para análisis de negocio (retorno de inversión).
• Experiencia en gestión de proyectos y/o lanzamientos.
