Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Security Governance Officer to strengthen the bank's information security governance framework. You will formulate and implement security policies, monitor initiatives, and champion security awareness across the organization.

You will collaborate with business units to ensure alignment with governance, risk, and regulatory requirements, including BSP, and serve as the liaison for regulatory and compliance matters. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Information Security Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, and Policy Management.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements (BSP, DPA, PCI-DSS).
• Familiarity with banking operations, IT processes, access controls, and data security.
• Proven experience designing security awareness, training, and advocacy programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain security concepts to diverse audiences.
• Certs such as CISM or CRISC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and recommend information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Identify and address policy gaps related to physical, environmental, personnel security, BCM, and SDLC.
• Design and enhance the Information Security Awareness, Training, and Advocacy Program.
• Create and manage awareness materials for publication and organization-wide communication.
• Evaluate effectiveness of awareness initiatives and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with business units to align with governance, risk, and compliance.
• Serve as liaison for regulatory/compliance requirements (BSP).
• Monitor progress of plans and initiatives for timely execution.
• Partner with InfoSec teams to remediate audit findings and compliance gaps.
• Support Department Head in overseeing delivery of initiatives.
• Provide guidance on governance, risk, compliance, and policy matters.
