Job summary

Gratitude Philippines is seeking a Clinical Utilization Management Nurse Specialist (USRN) to join our onsite team at Vertis North, Quezon City. The role centers on reviewing prior authorization and concurrent reviews against clinical guidelines to ensure medical necessity and appropriate care levels within a US managed care setting.

The position requires an active USRN license with NCLEX, 1–6 years of UM/UR experience, strong clinical judgment, and excellent documentation and communication

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted US Registered Nurse (USRN) license with NCLEX passed.
• Experience with Utilization Management (UM), Utilization Review (UR), Prior Authorization, or Concurrent Review.
• Understanding of US managed care fundamentals (Medicare/Medicaid).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school.

Responsibilities

• Review prior authorization and concurrent review requests to assess medical necessity and determine appropriate level of care.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and internal teams to support timely case resolution and clarify clinical information.
• Escalate complex cases to Medical Directors for higher-level clinical judgment.
• Support discharge planning and transfer authorization workflows for concurrent review cases.
• Document clinical findings and case decisions accurately, and guide providers and internal teams on utilization management processes.
