Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking an Audit Officer to provide reliable, independent assessment of operations and governance, enhancing internal controls and risk management. The role involves pre-audit briefings, fieldwork, and evaluating compliance with policies and laws.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree with CPA/CIA/CISA or equivalent audits certification and at least two years’ experience in banking or finance auditing. On-site posting in Davao is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree holder
• Must have CPA, CIA, CISA or related internal auditing certifications
• With at least two years' solid experience in internal audit, financial audit, information systems audit, and operations, compliance or controls reviews
• Willing to work on site and be assigned in Davao

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-audit briefing to discuss approved objectives, scope, and approach with the audit team
• Conducts fieldwork based on approved methodology and audit program guides
• Reviews if the business unit operates according to policies and applicable laws/regulations
• Investigates incidents resulting in losses and recommends improvements to enhance systems and operations
• Performs a review of the adequacy of internal controls and risk management processes to render required assurance/audit opinion
