Qualifications

• Experience with IBM Fusion storage systems and SAN/NAS technologies.
• Hands-on expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt).
• Knowledge of CSI and persistent volume management.
• Familiarity with Linux administration, networking, and virtualization concepts.
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) for storage provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Plan storage capacity, performance tuning, and redundancy strategies.
• Install, configure, and maintain IBM Fusion storage systems.

• Implement storage classes, dynamic provisioning, and snapshots.
• Monitor storage health, performance, and utilization.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot storage-related issues in OpenShift clusters.
• Develop automation scripts for provisioning and scaling storage resources.
• Optimize storage for containerized workloads and VMs.
• Implement encryption, access controls, and compliance policies.
• Ensure data protection and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with OpenShift admins, virtualization engineers, and cloud teams.

Role Overview:

The Storage Specialist will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing IBM Fusion storage solutions integrated with Red Hat OpenShift (RHOCP) virtualization environments. • Integrate storage with OpenShift virtualization (KubeVirt) for persistent volumes.
• Implement storage classes, dynamic provisioning, and snapshots.
