Job summary

Insight is hiring a Data Scientist for its AI Development team in Pasig on a hybrid schedule: one day in the office and four days remote. You will build and validate ML models using Databricks and Python, across diverse business domains to drive measurable outcomes.

We seek 3+ years’ experience, strong Python and SQL skills, and hands-on Databricks/MLflow expertise. You’ll collaborate with Data Engineers, AI Developers, and Product Owners to productionize models.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist with a portfolio of completed projects.
• Expert proficiency in Python with core data science libraries (Pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy).
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including PySpark, MLflow, and Databricks Workflows.
• Strong SQL skills for data exploration and feature engineering.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and statistical methods.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
• Comfortable working in Agile teams with engineers and product stakeholders.
• Nice to Have: Experience with LLM evaluation/fine-tuning; PowerBI; background in CS, Statistics, Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate machine learning models (regression, classification, time-series forecasting) using Databricks and Python.
• Support AI Developers with model evaluation, fine-tuning experiments, and performance benchmarking for LLM-based applications.
• Perform exploratory data analysis using PySpark and SQL to uncover insights and inform product decisions.
• Design and manage features using the Databricks Feature Store for consistency and reusability.
• Champion MLOps best practices using MLflow for experiment tracking, model versioning, and registry management.
• Communicate findings and model performance clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, AI Developers, and Product Owners to productionize models.
