Job summary

Remitly PHL Operations Inc. is seeking a Compliance Assurance Manager to oversee GCIT testing, ensuring safe, responsible operation across global markets. Lead a team of analysts, design test plans, and partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Risk to deliver assurance outcomes.

The role demands 6+ years in compliance or related fields, strong leadership, and deep regulatory knowledge. Based in Manila or Managua with a hybrid 3x/week onsite expectation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk, or related discipline—or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in compliance assurance, internal audit, risk testing, or regulatory consulting in financial services or fintech.
• Experience directly managing and developing team members, including performance feedback and coaching.
• Working knowledge of regulatory domains such as AML/CTF, OFAC/sanctions, consumer protection, safeguarding, and transaction monitoring.
• Experience managing testing engagements from planning through reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end assurance testing engagements within one or more compliance domains.
• Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of analysts, including performance management and career development.
• Design and execute test plans that assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
• Identify, document, and validate control gaps and findings, partnering with process owners on remediation.
• Apply and help refine the testing methodology and templates used across the team.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to scope testing and communicate results.
• Present testing results and findings in internal review and compliance forums.
