Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Line Cook, Commis, or Kitchen Staff is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food according to established recipes and hotel standards.
• Set up and maintain an assigned kitchen station before, during, and after service.
• Prepare ingredients such as meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and garnishes.
• Follow portion-control, plating, and presentation standards.
• Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and quality.
• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
• Properly store, label, and date food products.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and rotating kitchen supplies.
• Keep work areas, cooking equipment, utensils, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service.
• Follow hotel policies, kitchen procedures, and workplace safety regulations.
• Assist with buffet, banquet, restaurant, room-service, and other hotel food-service operations as assigned.
• Support other kitchen sections or duties when required by the Chef or supervisor.
