Southwestern University Medical Center in Cebu is seeking a Hemodialysis Technician to join our patient care team. You will prime and prepare dialyzers, disinfect machines, calibrate reprocessing devices, and assist nurses with patient assessments.

The role requires NC II Hemodialysis Technician, TESDA-accredited, with at least 1 year of dialysis experience and solid knowledge of dialysis principles and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• NC II Hemodialysis Technician (TESDA-accredited)
• 1 year experience in dialysis unit, clinical setting, or hospital
• Strong knowledge of dialysis principles and operation of hemodialysis machines

Responsabilités

• Prime or prepare dialyzers and dialysis bath according to formula
• Prepare, rinse, disinfect dialysis machines prior to treatment
• Calibrate reprocessing machines at the start of the day
• Collect all used dialyzers in the dialysis area per infection control
• Perform reprocessing of all used dialyzers
• Assess reprocessed dialyzers for acceptability
• Label all used dialyzers properly
• Record dialyzer re-use numbers in the hemodialysis flow sheet
• Store reprocessed dialyzers in an orderly manner
• Conduct preventive maintenance of hemodialysis machines and monitor machine-related problems
• Assist the nurse with pre and post dialysis patient assessments and documentation
• Assist in emergency procedures and basic CPR during cardiac/pulmonary arrest

Job Responsibilities:

1. Primes or prepares dialyzers and dialysis bath according to formula
2. Prepares, rinses, disinfects dialysis machines prior to treatment
3. Calibrates reprocessing machines at the start of the day prior to use
4. Collects all used dialyzers in the dialysis area in accordance with techniques in prevention and control of spillage and contamination
5. Performs reprocessing of all used dialyzers
6. Assess reprocessed dialyzers for acceptability
7. Labels all used dialyzers properly
8. Records dialyzer; re-uses number in hemodialysis flow sheet
9. Stores reprocessed dialyzers in an orderly manner
10. Conducts preventive maintenance of hemodialysis machines, machine repairs and monitoring of machine-related problems
11. Assists the nurse with pre and post dialysis patient assessments and documentation
12. Assist in all emergency operational procedures and in performing basic CPR measures during cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest

Qualifications:

• With NC II Hemodialysis Technician (TESDA-accredited)
• At least 1 year experience in a dialysis unit, clinical setting, or hospital.
• Possesses strong knowledge of dialysis principles and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• With relevant Hemodialysis certifications and training is a plus
