Job Description

• Stitch, sew, alter, and repair garments based on client instructions or design requirements.
• Operate and maintain sewing machines and other tailoring tools.
• Take accurate measurements and perform fittings to ensure garments fit perfectly.
• Handle various fabrics, including delicate or specialty materials, with care.
• Cut, hem, and finish fabrics to create or modify garments.
• Replace zippers, buttons, and other garment accessories as needed.
• Iron and press finished garments to ensure a polished look.
• Ensure all work is completed within deadlines and meets quality standards.
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of sewing supplies, such as thread, needles, and fabric.

Proven experience as a sewer, tailor, or seamstress in a similar setting.

Proficiency in operating various types of sewing machines.

Knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and tailoring techniques.

Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise, high-quality work.

Good time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently.
