Overview
The Store Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the overall store operations. This position involves a variety of tasks, including assisting customers, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking shelves, and supporting other store associates.
Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Answer customer questions and provide product information.
- Assist customers with locating items within the store.
- Assist with customer checkouts and bagging purchases.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Store Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Sweep, mop, and dust floors and shelves.
- Empty trash and recycle bins.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and other common areas.
- Assist with store displays and signage.
Inventory Management
- Stock shelves and displays with merchandise.
- Unpack and receive incoming shipments.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits.
- Ensure accurate pricing and product information.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
- Prior retail experience preferred, but not required
