Job title: Sheller and Parer
Location: Sto. Domingo, Albay
The Coconut Sheller and Parer is responsible for manually or mechanically removing the outer husk (shelling) and inner brown skin (paring) of coconuts to prepare them for further processing. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shelling Coconuts:
- Use hand tools or machinery to remove the outer shell of coconuts efficiently.
- Ensure minimal wastage while extracting the coconut meat.
- Paring Coconuts:
- Remove the thin brown skin from the coconut meat using a paring knife or specialized tools.
- Ensure that the final product is clean and meets quality standards.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect coconuts for defects, spoilage, or contamination.
- Maintain consistency in size and appearance of pared coconuts.
- Safety and Maintenance:
- Follow workplace safety guidelines and use protective equipment as required.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Efficiency and Productivity:
- Work quickly and accurately to meet production targets.
- Minimize waste and maximize yield from each coconut.
Qualifications
- Trustworthy and with pleasing personality
- High School Graduate, ALS ,Senior/Junior High or HIGHER
- With experience is a plus or w/o experience as long as willing to be trained
- Can work shifting schedule, flexible hours including weekends or holiday
- Physically fit
- With valid original barangay and police clearance
- Good with customer service is an edge
- Detail-oriented, and good with customers
