Job summary

Baldo Construction and Development Corporation is seeking a skilled heavy equipment technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain construction machinery at our site in the Philippines. You will dismantle worn parts, install replacements, perform routine lubrication, and maintain accurate service records.

The role requires familiarity with electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, plus the ability to work independently or with a team while following safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational certification or an associate's degree in mechanical engineering or related fields may be required for some roles.
  • Professional Certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification are highly regarded and sometimes required.
  • Hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance through apprenticeships or prior roles is crucial.
  • Strong understanding of electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is often necessary for advanced repair tasks.
  • Continual education and training to keep up with machinery technology and repair techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting heavy equipment for proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions.
  • Dismantling faulty equipment parts and installing new or fixed parts.
  • Cleaning and lubricating equipment and performing other routine maintenance on machinery.
  • Keeping detailed records of serviced machines and reporting progress and issues to management.
  • Advising clients or management on recommended equipment servicing and maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using testing equipment to determine repair extent.
  • Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Interpreting manuals and drawings to execute repairs and enhancements.
  • Collaborating with other mechanics and management to maintain machinery schedules and ensure safety compliance.
  • Testing repaired machinery to verify restoration and performance.
